Name: Wild Life
Age: 4 years
Gender: Mare
Breed: American Mustang
Colour: Splash Chestnut Paint with Flaxen Mane
Height: 16.1 hh
Personality: Wild is an aggressive mare which her appearance lets on to tell. She is a stubborn horse set in her ways and conforms to no one. Any stallion wishing to cover her will find her a challenge to claim unless she for some reason takes a liking to the stallion. She usually does not like other horses, mainly just the young ones. Even though she is only 4 years old, her history puts her well beyond her years. Wild is a dominant female entity who will need reprimanding every now and again if she is to ever survive amongst her kind.
History: Wild's history is quiet long, but to summarize it, she is a mustang that was at first wrangled by man when she was just a yearling filly. Her entire herd was taken under the claim of man. Over the course of two and a half years, she had been bought and sold from one abusive owner to the next, eventually becoming underweight and malnourished. One owner, her last in fact, tried to ride the untamed mustang one day and had to force the stubborn mare's head into a bridle. He had to have 5 men hold the horse still to do so. When they shifted to allow him to place a saddle on her, Wild was able to maneuver through the novice stablehands and make her way out of the stall door that was left open. However, a stablehand in the aisle managed to rope her before she made it out of the barn, and soon enough the men were again holding the mustang still for the owner to beat. Wild was then put in a paddock on the far end of the property for a week with only the grass and a bale of hay to eat. There was a rusty old tub of water that was never refilled during her stay. After that week, Wild's owner sold her to another man, but this time it was different. He was a horse auctioneer that sold these type of horses for dirt cheap to slaughter house owners and dog food mills. Wild ended up in a corral some days later outside a slaughterhouse where a group of horses awaited there death. They huddled together for warmth during this cold and rainy day. A truck was pulling up to unload more horses into the already crowded corral, and ended up knocking over a part of the shoddy fencing. The horses that still had energy were able to break out of the narrow exit, while others barely managed to walk out. Police were soon informed of the matter and were already wrangling the horses together again. Some got lucky and were never captured. Wild Life was one of the lucky ones. So now, Wild is wild again, but still remembers the past by the bridle that was left on her head. No human could ever get close enough to take it off. She's been scarred from her past, but her future awaits.
